romance and tragedy

[gw] So Michelle and John's wedding was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect for it and the kiddos were adorable. I'll post a link of all the pics I took. But congratulations to John and Michelle! Finally!

Then on Sunday we tried to get stuff for our own wedding taken care of. Part of that was recording a message. We went out to a overlook on 360 and started taping ourselves. We were waiting for the wind to die down when all of the sudden we saw the camera tip over from the tripod. I quickly ran to try to catch it, but it was too late, it had already fallen over. It's damaged. :( We're hoping warranty will cover the repair. But I felt so horrible. It was our first purchase Yvonne and I made together. I felt like I was in a major car accident and I was the one to cause it all. Yvonne was great in encouraging me. She even paid for a Sonic Route 44 to make me feel better. So sending in the camera and hoping it gets fixed.

And Blindspot was great! Prayers were answered, and I'm thankful for the message that was given to the body of Liquid. It was a great reminder for the church, that as the church, we sometimes put up barriers and stray from what Jesus taught us in order to make ourselves comfortable. It was Jesus who first spoke to the Samaritan woman. She needed to believe too. Thanks to Ashley, Vicky, and Gid for their hard work in putting that together. Thanks to the girls who worked tireless in the kitchen to serve the food! Rasberry chipotle over cream cheese and the meatballs were my favorite!

Then Yvonne left, and I thus begins another week apart. On to wedding #3 - Amy and Gordon!!

razr fans

[gw] So I finally remembered to google if anyone else had problems with dust showing up underneath the razr screen. It happened to me, and it's annoying to look at the screen under direct light. This is what you need to do. Insert a pin at the corner of the screen, and run it down the side. The screen protector is actually held on with some sticky glue, and it's possible for dust to get in. If you damage the screen protector, you can get one for $4. But that's another search that i don't need at the moment, but I'm sure you can get it on ebay. I can now get on with my normal life.

Last weekend, wedding #1 - Jamie and Andrew, ran into my old piano duet partner. It's a small world after all. They had a special drink made for them, the Fong-tini. A little bit sweet with the blue curacao, but very cool indeed. One thing we got out of the wedding. There is no need for proper etiquette at an Asian wedding with 450 people. Everyone WILL show up 10-15 minutes late. So plan for it.

This weekend, wedding #2 of this year - John and Michelle. Holla!

what a waste

[gw] I'm in the process of moving my books and magazines that are downstairs to Yvonne's. Primarily cause I have to redo the flooring and I don't have the space to put it upstairs. They are heavy I tell you. What do most people do with their magazines? I've kept most of mine cause I figure they'll be that one day that I'll want to go through and read them again. Probably untrue. But what do most people do with their magazines? Throwing them away seem such a waste.

And can anyone tell me why gas prices shot up to the 2.30-2.40 range in the past two weeks? I see no news articles about the international crude oil market. Here's a good article.

dooce

[gw] So i got caught up reading dooce's blog today. She was the first blogger who got fired for blogging about her coworkers. I happened to find it when I was reading up on happenings of SXSW. And about SXSW . .. oddly, I'm surprised about how there's a complete lack of traffic there is downtown. Or maybe I just don't venture far enough. Or maybe Austin is really overrun by students. They are on spring break right now. So it's a easy low stress drive home.

So recently, I feel like I've gained all the weight back that I've lost. I measured myself yesterday, still the same. But, I got to get back on a running regimen again. Goodness, the amount of work that you have to put in to feel good about your body. It's relentless. Fine, fine, one more crunch.

I'm making Yvonne update you about her birthday weekend which was actually awhile back. But this past weekend we went to a "Weekend to Remember" conference. My overall feelings from it. I've heard it all before, but it was a good reminder, and good for Yvonne and I to hear it together.
