smelly finger
[y] ok so this is kinda gross, but just wanted to see if this happens to anyone else. ever since i started wearing my wedding ring and engagement ring together, it's starting to make my ring finger smell where the rings are. it's because when i wash my hands, it gets wet...and sometimes i neglect to dry out the water from under the rings and in between the rings. so it sort of smells mildewy or like a stale towel that has been used too much and needs to be washed.
anyway, does this happen to anyone else? is it because my ring is too big and water gets underneath? if i had a tighter ring, would there be no water...and thus no smell?

um...that is gross. stop sniffing your finger and you won't smell it any more.
Mine smells. I have to clean it every few days. And, my ring is really small on my finger (post-preggo fingers) so no, if you get your rings resized they will still smell...so is the sacrifice for love (or not to get hit on)...
yuck. i don't think mine smells, but both of my rings are really thin bands with no decorations. perhaps that makes a difference? i don't know.
That happens to my watch band all the time, so I have to brush/clean it every once in a while. Or you can do what some men do...take off the ring when washing hands. And if you're afraid of losing it, keep it in your pocket. ^_^

yuck!! my ring is kinda big (i have big nuckles) so i think it moves around when i dry my hands... no funk.
yikes. maybe you can just dry your finger really well every time you wash your hands. i also always take my rings off when i do the dishes and take a shower.
haha! that happens to me too, so don't worry. it's just from the water... washing hands, dishes, etc. i guess josh never knew my finger was smelly too.

It is happening to me also.
I am trying to find out why.
It never happened before.
I will ask my doctor this week.
It is not nice at all and I wash all the time.

This is too funny. I know this is an old post, but I found myself wondering the same thing today and googled it - and there you were. Are you just living with it now?
I noticed that my ring finger kind of smells like when I got a cast taken off my arm... I try to remember to take my ring of when drying my hands, but I just forget. I have a very thick band which I believe causes the problem.
i am so amused that this blog post comes up when you google search smelly finger! but anyway, what works for me is every once in a while, i have to take an old toothbrush and clean out the many crevices in my ring because dead skin cells and other nasty stuff has collected in there. it's like your belly button...just gotta clean it out every once in a while. it was the rings that was smelly...not my actual finger.
